Collaborative Partnership Projects
Second Chance is often approached by other public benefit organisations to partner on specific components of a project.
In 2017, Second Chance partnered with the Langeberg Substance Abuse Action Group (LSAAG) to implement a Substance Abuse Intervention Program that combined traditional substance abuse counseling with an innovative, experiential component.
The objective of the 8-week program was to assist in the recovery and life skills development of substance abusers within the communities of Bonnievale, Robertson, Ashton, Montagu, McGregor, Xolani and Nqubela. Second Chance facilitators worked closely with identified LSAAG partner organisations to complement and supplement existing interventions within the target areas.
